Lemurs’ Park
Located about 25 kilometers west of Antananarivo, Lemurs’ Park is a landscaped natural area allowing the observation of several species of lemurs in semi-freedom, as well as tortoises, chameleons, and various endemic plants. The park was entirely created by humans: trees were planted, paths laid out, and animals introduced into a safe environment. The visit is easy to access, quiet, and constitutes an excellent introduction to Madagascar’s biodiversity, ideal for those with limited time in the capital.
Ampefy
Ampefy is located on the shores of Lake Itasy, the third-largest lake in Madagascar. The region is appreciated for its volcanic landscapes, peaceful atmosphere, and mild microclimate. The lake, rich in fish, attracts many fishing enthusiasts. Nearby, you can discover the Amparaky geysers, the Lily waterfalls, and several typical agricultural villages. The area is also known for traditional wild boar hunting. Ampefy is a perfect destination for those seeking nature, relaxation, and cultural discoveries just a few hours from the capital.
