Our Little Story

We would be delighted to assist you in fulfilling your travel dreams, whether it's ticking off the must-sees on your wish list or creating a new one. Take the first step towards the adventure of your dreams!

I arrived in Madagascar without a specific plan, I bought a 4×4, joined an expedition, and decided to introduce this extraordinary country to the world. I started selling tours in the Italian market as a driver-guide, learning every detail of the land. In my first year, I organized six private tours.

While visiting Ambalandingana in the heart of the Zafimaniry country, I fell in love with the area and accepted to manage “Sous le Soleil de Mada,” relocating from Antananarivo to Ambositra. By my third year, I was organizing around twenty circuits, working with the best local drivers-guide owners to ensure quality based on experience, knowledge, and attention to detail.
Just before the COVID pandemic, we were experiencing our best sales since our inception. However, like the rest of the world, Madagascar was abruptly halted. Unable to pay the lodge rent, I had to leave and work for Amazon in England during lockdown.
My wife and I acquired land by a river near Ivato Centre to build our home in the Zafimaniry region. In April, Madagascar reopened to tourism, and we resumed operations, organizing eighteen private tours that year. We began constructing our “perfect” lodge, aiming to blend into local life while offering essential comfort to travelers, allowing them to experience the true Malagasy way of life.
Meanwhile, our tour operator business grew significantly, with over forty organized trips. We enhanced our lodge with a natural pool, solar energy, and started cultivating some of our products. Today, we have ten bungalows, but the significant deterioration of the Antoetra road post-pandemic has hindered visitor access to the region.
Our tour operator continues to thrive, introducing electric bike tours and kayaking adventures in the remote areas of the Pangalanes Canal between Mananjary and Manakara. Our lodge is fully built, and we await necessary licenses and permits. Despite challenges, our tailored tours drive growth, allowing us to operate in some of Madagascar’s most remote regions. This year, we organized fifty-six private tours and five group trips for agencies in Spain, the United States, and Italy.

Soaring Over Antananarivo: The Cable Car Reality in 2026

For decades, the mention of Antananarivo (Tana) conjured images of vibrant markets, historic palaces, and—unfortunately—legendary traffic jams. The embouteillages of the capital were not just a nuisance; they were a…
