The trip to Ankarana East, from Ankify, takes about 3 hours' and the landscapes change from tropical lush to savannah near Ambilobe. After a brief break we visit the park. Ankarana National Park is a complex of rocky limestone pinnacles, called Tsingy, formed by the erosion caused by rich waterways, patches of dense tropical jungle, strips of deciduous forest, canyons and deep caves. Today we will plan a 2 hours' hike with a local guide. Hotel Relais Ankarana or similar.

There is no much difference in road condition from the secondary road and the National 6, however it will take another hour to get to the village of Anjahankely in the Andriafamena Reserve. This is a spectacular reserve, in a few km on foot you can go from tropical forest to dry forest or transition forest. We quit Andriafamena in the morning, our next stop is the Red Tsingy of the Irodo River Valley, 3 hours' drive away. After the visit, we will continue to Ramena where we will overnight. Hotel Lakana Plage or similar.

Day 5 Ramena - Sakalava Bay 10 km, 4 hours' walk
Today we will visit on foot the Three Bays from Ramena, a fantastic 10 km hike across Orangea Reserve to get to the Three Bays. Just passed Ramena Beach we are on the beach of Orangea where we can discover the remains of an old French military camp, today still used by the local military troops. At the end of this interminable beach, we have Cap Miné with its lighthouse where a breathtaking panorama awaits you: the Indian Ocean entering Antsiranana Bay! Again we will find some old buildings from the colonial times. We will then hike all the way to the Sakalava Bay, the last bay coming from north. We will be able to choose our favorite bay to spend the afternoon. The return to Ramena by car. Hotel Lakana or similar.

Day 6 Ramena - Joffreville - Ramena
The whole morning will be dedicated to the "Montagne d'Ambre" National Park. Today's journey is approx. 1 hour each way. Joffreville, a small characteristic colonial village, where time stopped in the 1950s and it is the entrance to the park. The park, a rainforest that includes six volcanic lakes, is a paradise for many endemic animals and plants. The top of the park reaches more than 1400 m above sea level and when the days are clear, the views to the bay of Antsiranana are just breathtaking. Bring a jacket, temperatures in the morning rarely go above degrees 10 celsius. In the afternoon we visit the French Mountain, from where we can admire an incredible sunset over the entire bay. Hotel Lakana or similar.

Day 7 Ramena - Ampasindava - Nosy Hara 60 km, 2 hours' drive
Departure planned for 6AM in the morning, by car we reach the village of Ampasindava located in the Courrier Bay. From Ampasindava, with a small motor boat we reach the sacred archipelago of Nosy Hara, aka the coral island. The archipelago of Nosy Hara consists of about 12 small islands surrounded by the almost intact coral reef. It was one of Madagascar's first marine protected areas, and became a National Park in 2012. The islands combine limestone karst formations (similar to Tsingy), white sand beaches and endemic vegetation. With 5 species of sea turtles, dolphins and dugongs, snorkelling is the main activity in these parts. Camping on a full board basis in Nosy Hara.

Day 11 Nosy Be - Nosy Iranja - Nosy Be 1.5 hours speedboat ride each way
An hour and a half south-west of Nosy Be (50 km), it is located an island of incredible beauty, white sand and breathtaking turquoise sea. Nosy Iranja is made up of two islands, the largest island Iranja Be and Iranja Kely, the small island. The tourist attraction is the beauty of the place, the two islands are connected by a strip of white sand over a 1 km long and over 300 meters wide at low tide. With the return of the tide, the islands are separated for less than two hours. An incomparable sight. We also recommend a short walk on top of the little one mountain (about 100 meters high) of the island to admire an incredible view over the island. Return to Nosy Be by 3 PM. Day 12 Nosy Be
Our last service the the transfert to the airport.
The National Park of Ankarana
The Ankàrana Special Reserve (National Park) allows you to see tsingy, these karst formations offering the rather breathtaking vision of hundreds of sharp limestone needles and peaks, erect towards the sky. In addition, water erosion has caused the creation of more than 100 caves which were inhabited during inter-ethnic conflicts. Some even house royal tombs. A dream place for hikers.
Andrafiamena Reserve
It is a Nature Reserve of about 30,000 hectares, with very varied landscape, made up of subtropical primary forest, stoneware massifs and calcareous formations called Tsingy. Great variety of lemurs, we can also find a great variety of woes (49 different species), endemic plants, reptiles (chameleons and snakes) and a large number of amphibians.
The Red Tsingy of Irodo Valley
50 km south of Diego-Suarez is a group of beautiful red tsingy, to visit in the afternoon before sunset to profit from the great colors. These tsingy are the result of an erosion also called limestone pavement. The mixture of different oxides and the work of time gave birth to a set of a few hundred small fairy chimneys.
Ramena
Twenty kilometers from Diego-Suarez, Ramena a small authentic fishing village with a great choice of shacks that serve the most amazing seafood at great prices. The beach is also great with great warm clear water. A great destination for beach lovers.
Nosy Hara
The Nosy Hara archipelago, in the north in the province of Antsiranana, is located between Cape Anorintany and Cape Vohilava. Covering an area of approximately 75,000 ha, it consists of 17 islands surrounded by vast coral reefs. An escape from the real world.
Diego Suarez
At the northern tip of Madagascar is Diego-Suarez (Antsiranana). It is the 3rd port of Madagascar. Former French garrison, the city has lost its grandeur but still retains a feeling of nostalgia and great atmosphere. The marks of colonization haunt her like ghosts. There is an amazing cultural diversity in the city, always ready to party. Great place for nature lovers, natural and marine  parks are a stone throw away from the city.
Nosy Be
The island of Nosy Be and its multiple islets look like a postcard. There are few beaches but the sea is magnificent. Diving lovers will be delighted by the multiple spots. The surrounding islands are splendid. The interior of the island of Nosy Be is ideal for nice walks between sugar cane fields, lakes and isolated beaches of the north.
Nosy Iranja
The island of Nosy Iranja is the furthest from the islands close to Nosy Be. Nosy Iranja is made up of two paradisiacal islets linked by a white sandbank. The impression it gives is simply extraordinary: an air of Robinson ... if there are not too many people on the day.
