Day 1 — Antananarivo
Day 01: Ivato International Airport – Antananarivo

Day 2 — Antananarivo – Ambositra – Antaniditra | approx. 290 km – 8 h
Early morning departure along the mythical Route Nationale 7, one of the main arteries of the Malagasy Highlands. Excursion through breathtaking landscapes dotted with terraced rice paddies and traditional villages, testament to the Austronesian heritage of the Merina people. Lunch in Antsirabe and guided exploration of the Tsara Sabotsy market, an elegant pousse‑pousse ride through the colonial city quarters. Day 3 — Antaniditra – Antoetra – Sakaivo | trekking
Morning walk to Antoetra, the traditional heart of Zafimaniry culture. Meet your guide and begin your journey through the Green Valleys on foot or along the mosaic rice fields, then through dense secondary forest. Explore villages where craftsmanship and traditional architecture are inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Day 4 — Sakaivo – Faliarivo – Ankidodo | trekking
Full‑day guided hike through protected mountain forests. The trail passes through craft workshops and ancestral burial sites, and offers splendid viewpoints overlooking the Matsiatra valley. After crossing several suspension bridges and thanks to unique community solutions, you will gradually reach Ankidodo late in the afternoon. Camp in an extraordinary natural setting. Day 5 — Ankidodo – Antoetra – Ranomafana | approx. 170 km – 6 h
Morning: walk back to Antoetra, then travel south along the winding mountain road. The gently rolling hills give way to the world of the jungle with its intense scents. Arrival at a genuine eco‑gem, Ranomafana National Park, with exceptional biodiversity. Overnight in an ecolodge for a night under the stars surrounded by nature. Day 6 — Ranomafana – Ambalavao | approx. 120 km – 3 h
Early morning guided walk in Ranomafana National Park, famous for its many lemur species (including the rare golden bamboo lemur). Home to waterfalls, hot springs and medicinal plants used in local traditions. Afternoon return to Ambalavao, a culturally and market‑wise interesting place. Day 7 — Ambalavao – Namoly – Andriampotsy | trekking
Transfer to Namoly, entering the incredible Andringitra National Park, one of the most magnificent massifs in Madagascar. Begin the ascent towards high adventurous grasslands and across rocky ridges. Camp at Andriampotsy Camp (2,050 m), located in a wonderful amphitheatre of granite formations. Overnight in tent.
Day 8 — Andriampotsy – Pic Boby – Iantaranomby | trekking
Depart before dawn to reach the summit of Pic Boby (2,658 m), with incredible views on a clear day stretching to the Indian Ocean. Cross the infamous “extraterrestrial plateau”, a fascinating landscape of extraordinary rock formations and mountain vegetation. Descend to the Iantaranomby valley and set up camp. Overnight in tent.
Day 9 — Iantaranomby – Tsaranoro Valley | trekking
Gradual descent into the Tsaranoro Valley, dominated by the imposing 800‑metre granite cliff. Includes crossing dry forests and along seasonal waterways to the lodge itself, ideally situated at the foot of the cliffs. Free evening in this incredible natural environment. Day 10 — Tsaranoro Valley – Ranohira | approx. 210 km – 5 h
Take the road across the vast Ihorombe plateau, characterised by savannah landscape dotted with termite mounds and traditional Bara fields. The aim is to understand the traditions and customs of the Bara people. Depart for Ranohira (gateway to Isalo National Park). Dinner and overnight at H1 Isalo Hotel or similar.
Day 11 — Isalo National Park | FULL DAY
Visit to Isalo National Park, a unique sandstone massif with eroded rock formations. Adventure through canyons, natural pools and trekking with lemurs, famous for their long black‑and‑white striped tails (ring‑tailed lemurs) and Verreaux's sifakas. Day 12 — Ranohira – Ifaty | approx. 270 km – 7 h
Through the Mikiry Desert and beyond the spiny thicket, you reach Ifaty, a picturesque coastal village on the Mozambique Channel. Time to relax: white sand beaches, turquoise lagoon, snorkelling on the coral reef or visit to the Vezo fishing villages. Overnight at Bamboo Club Hotel or similar.
Day 13 — Ifaty | free day
